INGREDIENTS for the Giurgiulena:

  • 250 gr sesame seeds
  • orange juice
  • 125 gr almonds
  • sprinkles
  • 125 gr caster sugar
  • 125 gr honey

DIRECTIONS:

Roast the sesame seeds in a pan

In a pot melt sugar and honey and let the caramel get a brownish nice color

Add the sesame seeds and the almonds and a spoon of orange juice

Cook until it gets to a nice golden color

Use a rolling pin and roll it on parchment paper. Use some orange juice on the rolling pin to prevent the caramel from sticking

Cut the sesame brittle into rhombus and decorate with colored sprinkles.
